Nettwerk One Music (NW1) & Upper Class Recordings (UC) are happy to announce that NW1 will represent the publishing works of the phenomenally talented UC roster of artists in a freshly inked worldwide agreement.
“We are excited to help spread the word about such excellent Upper Class artists as The Russian Futurists and DVAS,” says Mark Jowett of NW1. “Orly (Bohbot) and Gareth (Jones) have super ears and have latched on to and helped develop some very promising artists, and we believe that NW1 can further help in this process.”
Toronto-based Upper Class was created in 2000 and has developed into a full-fledged management firm, record label and publishing house with an international reputation for producing unique and exciting music and artists. “Its roster seems to produce blissed-out electronic pop masterpieces like an assembly line.” (Lostatsea.net)
“Upper Class is thrilled to partner with NW1 in developing our publishing catalogue and forthcoming releases. We respect what Nettwerk has accomplished internationally and have admired their independent spirit and might for years. They’ve connected with UC’s vision, their diverse experience and keen appreciation for a broad spectrum of music has already proven invaluable, and we look forward to working closely with them as we roll out an excellent line up this year,” says Orly Bohbot, Upper Class Recordings.
The Upper Class 2010 release line up includes newest signing DVAS, along with new studio albums by UC favourites The Russian Futurists, Cadence Weapon and The Cansecos.
NW1 is the publishing wing of the Nettwerk Music Group with offices in Canada, the US and the UK and a strong network of international partners, and represents a diverse array of writers and writer/artists from Sinead O’Connor to Ladytron, Great Lake Swimmers, Delerium through to Natalie Merchant and Johnny Reid.
